The Timpson Bears Varsity Football Team moved their season record to 11-0 with a 66-7 bi-district playoff win over the Frankston Indians.

The Indians came out strong early with a 60-yard opening kickoff return and an eight-play scoring drive which gave them an early 7-0 point lead, their only lead and score for the day.

A long return by Bear Trey Davis, moments later, and a 16-yard scoring run by Braden Courtney saw Timpson tie the game at 7-7 with 8:17 left in the first quarter.

Bears quarterback LT Washington hit Terry Bussey for a 78-yard scoring strike at the end of the opening stanza which gave Timpson a 14-7 advantage going into the second stanza.

Semaj Kelley pulled down another scoring reception with 1:14 left in the second period and Logan Depaepe added the extra point kick to give THS a 21-7 lead. Depaepe added a 26-yard field goal to his tally after Timpson recovered an Indians fumble and the Bears took a 24-7 advantage into the halftime break.

The second half was all Bears as they scored 42 unanswered points to earn the win. Timpson will move on to the area round of the Texas UIL Football Playoffs next week where they will face Jewett-Leon at a time and site to be announced later.
