March 5, 2018 - The Healthcare committee of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 11th Annual Health and Fitness Fair, Thursday, March 22 at the Windham Civic Center from 9am – 2:30pm. The fair is free to the public and will feature over 30 vendors with give aways and door prizes. Cline Family Medicine is the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s event along with Gold sponsors, Focused Care of Center, Hope Community Medicine, and Nacogdoches Medical Center. Vendors will be providing health screening which include glucose, cholesterol, spinal screenings, heart awareness, bone density and vision. Information will be provided on fitness, healthy eating with food demonstrations, massage therapy, teeth whitening, allergy treatments, diabetes, sleep disorders, caregiver relief and much more. Teresas Tumblers will be performing at 11:00am.
In addition, a mobile mammogram unit hosted by Trinity Mother Frances will be at the fair. All mammogram appointments must be made prior to Friday, March 24 by calling Daphne at 936-598-7744. There is a charge for the mammograms with most health insurance accepted. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on site with a blood mobile taking donations, to sign up to donate please contact Shelby County Chamber of Commerce at 936-598-3682.
The fair will host break out session speakers from, Affinity Hospice at 10:30am and CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial During the speaker sessions the vendor booths will be closed and will re-open after each session.
