July 3, 2025 - The Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association announces that the United States Declaration of Independence will be read aloud on the front steps of the county courthouses of Texas counties prior to Independence Day.
In Shelby County, the Declaration will be read by local lawyers, Stephen Shires, Jeff Adams, April Prince and Scott Peal. The reading will take place on the steps of the historic Shelby County Courthouse at 10am on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
