September 11, 2020 - On Sunday, August 30, 2020 I reported a burglary on my property in Joaquin (Pine Ridge Community) where thousands of dollars of property, specifically my 4-wheeler, trailer, seed / fertilizer spreader and a sprayer with boom were stolen. Within 5 days I was notified that my property was recovered from several locations inside and outside of Shelby County. I understand the recovery of my property did not happen by accident.

Let me speak directly to Chief Kevin Windham, Constable Roy Cheatwood, and the men and women of Law Enforcement. Your willingness to protect, defend, and serve the residents of Shelby County has not gone unnoticed. Each of you are very important and what you do makes a difference. In fact, the Lord speaks of this in Romans 13 where God created the institution of government/law enforcement. Let me be clear… from dispatchers to command staff to elected officials each of you are necessary and have been appointed to these positions at this point and time in history.

There is no such thing as happen-stance, random probability, or luck… only divine intervention and appointment. The Lord clearly calls each one of you “Ministers” and “Avengers” to hold accountable those who practice evil. When law enforcement functions in this manner, the people benefit. I am one example of those who has benefited.

In closing, I would like to thank each of you for your commitment to serve, your willingness to work together, your unique vision and your dedication to the mission of protecting all of us in Shelby County.

May God Bless and protect you and your families. May God Bless Shelby County and the great State of Texas and these United States.
