March 14, 2023 - The Shelby County Family Life Center in partnership with the Shelby County C.A.V.E. will offer an AAU Basketball Program specially designed for young amateur athletes. Athletes will learn fundamental and advanced basketball skills in a well-supervised and fun environment. The program will offer amateur sports programs through a volunteer base for all people to have the physical, mental, and moral development of amateur athletes and to promote good sportsmanship and good citizenship. The program will provide structure and knowledge and promote a lifestyle of recreational sports to amateur athletes.
This program is for boys and girls ages 12 to 16 (as of September 1, 2022). The AAU Program will have tryouts on March 18, 2023, at the Shelby County Family Life Center Gym located at 1426 ½ Shelbyville Street, Center, TX.
