Angela Ann Hughes, 53, of Garrison, Texas passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Born July 24, 1965, in Morgan City, Louisiana to Luke Marino Sr. and Katherine (Brown) Marino. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Taylor Funeral Home, 511 Ross Graves Dr., Timpson, Texas with Bro. Jack Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Yard Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 6 – 8 PM at Taylor Funeral Home, 511 Ross Graves Dr., Timpson, Texas.

Angela was born in Louisiana, and moved to Timpson in 1979. She was a Timpson High School graduate. Angela married the love of her life August 11, 1984, Thomas Wayne Hughes. Although life and marriage was not always easy the two have stood by one another over 34 years faithfully. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter. Angela loved her children dearly, and was eager to cheer them on during their activities, never missing anything they participated in. Angela’s nieces and nephews were a great part of her life and she also attended all of their activities. Being the oldest child, Angela’s brother and sisters always looked up to her for guidance. She worked very hard throughout her life. Angela went to Panola College and graduated obtaining her Associates Degree in Petroleum Technology in 2012. Angela loved and was very active in her community of Garrison. She was an active member of the Garrison Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service. 

Angela is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hughes; children, Thomas Hughes Jr., Christina Hughes Thompson and husband Weston, Richard Hughes; mother, Katherine Marino; brother, Luke Marino Jr. and wife Sherrie; sisters, Josephine Wise and husband James, Bernadette Williams and husband Donald, Jennifer Marino Pugh; brother in law, Michael Hughes and wife Marie; sister in law, Deborah Moore and husband David; numerous nieces and nephews; special life long friends, David Blaze and entire Blaze family, and Sissy Colle and her family. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Luke Marino Sr.; sister, Laura Marino; mother in law, Annice Hughes; father in law, Howard Hughes; and stepfather, Rickey Gray.

Pallbearers serving are Austin Colle, Dalton Colle, Andy Marquez, Daniel Pugh, Matthew Benson, and Drew Wise.

Honorary pallbearers serving are Taylor Williams, Little Matt Williams, Paden Pugh, Shane Pugh, Shalin Marquez, David Blaze, Leroy Blaze Jr., Mark Blaze, Adam Blaze, Stacey Hughes, Brandon Hughes, Austin Moore, and Wes Thompson.
