A memorial service honoring the life of Eugene Matthews, 58, of Joaquin, Texas, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel in Logansport, Louisiana.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Jody Hooper. A visitation will be held before the service from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Eugene was born on September 28, 1962, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Phillip Tony Matthews and Lavern Malmay Matthews. He entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2021, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He never met a stranger and had numerous adopted children. He loved trucks of any kind, telling stories to all that would listen, and grilling food for everyone to enjoy.
