Jerry Powell, 75, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, in Center.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Rather Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Mr. Powell was born January 7, 1944, in Dallas, to Marvin Powell and Maxine Nichols Powell. He served in the United States National Guard, was an HR Manager at Tyson Foods and also raised poultry. Mr. Powell was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Hippler Powell; parents, Marvin Powell and Maxine Nichols Powell; sister, Karen Hadlock; niece, Crystal Vickers.
Pallbearers will be James Powell, Brian Powell, Nicklaus Powell, Davis Powell, Clayton Powell, and Jackson Powell.
