Joan Carolyn Jones, 85, of Center, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in Nacogdoches.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1pm. Interment will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Center.
Joan was born April 15, 1940, in Waco, to Rayford Kibbey and Lou Ellen Lancaster Kibbey. Her hobbies included cooking and eating Blue Bell ice cream. Above all, she loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren. A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Center, she enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family. Joan was known as “Nana” to everyone.

Preceded in death by her husband, Neal Jones; parents, Rayford Kibbey and Lou Ellen Lancaster Kibbey; brother, C.M. Buddy Kibbey; and sister, Hazel “Sister” Kibbey.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Jones, Mike Jones, Joshua Jones, Matt Jones, Jonathan Jones, and Marc Jones. Honorary pallbearers will Greg Gay, Buren Lowe, and Bobby Watson.
