Laura Belle Ratchford, age 81, passed away on August 19, 2023.
She was born on October 10, 1941, at 4:40 AM, in Alvarado, Texas, to parents Perry Lee Leftwich Ratchford and Miriam Ruth Martin Ratchford. She graduated from Burleson High School and went to college at Tarleton State University. She worked various jobs including health care and executive administration, and retired from Baylor Methodist. She was also a Christian life coach.
Laura was a spiritually active person, who was deeply involved in Christian ministries, and member of Family Church of Houston. She supported and was involved in programs that supports breast cancer patients. She also loved the Astros and watched every game. She enjoyed crocheting and painting and loved to visit the Museum of Natural History, and the Houston Zoo. Her family and friends will always remember her as a wise, caring, and beautiful person.
Laura was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Laura is preceded in death by her oldest son Jerry Guy “John” Winfrey, and her parents Perry Lee and Miriam Ruth Ratchford.
A graveside memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, 11 AM, October 7, 2023, at Pilot Point Cemetery.
