Marguerite ("Reatie") Adams

Funeral services for Marguerite ("Reatie") Adams, 102, of Lufkin were held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Newton officiating.

Interment followed in the Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center, Texas. Mrs. Adams was born October 23, 1915 in Arcadia, Texas to the late Flossie (Pate) and Frank Wallace, and died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Adams became a hairdresser at the age of 18 and retired after 79 years. After moving to Houston, she then moved to Lufkin, where she worked at Lemon Tree for over 44 years. Mrs. Adams was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Lufkin and loved her Sunday School Class, Mary Martha.

Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paschal Adams; son, Hal Adams; brothers, Benjamin Wallace and Jessie Franklin Wallace; and sisters, Vada Tinsley and Marquette Emanis.

Services were under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home, Lufkin.
