Edward Glenn Boles, age 65 of Center passed away early Saturday morning at Shelby Regional Medical Center in Center. Mr. Boles was of the Assembley of God Faith.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Spanns Chapel Cemetery in Center with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating, Interment will follow.

Floyd Hutto, 52, Center, passed away Wednesday November 19, 2008 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.

His body will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

He was born May 5, 1956 to Floyd Hutto, Sr. and Willie Mae Graves. He worked for Texas Farm Products for many years.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Floyd Hutto, Sr. and Willie Mae Graves, Sister, Kathy Cooper and Sister, Lillie Faye Beard.

Joe Umbrell, 76, of Tenaha, passed away Tuesday November 18, 2008 at his residence.

Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday November 23, 2008 at Paxton United Methodist Church in Tenaha.

He was born January 3, 1932 to Guy and Crea (Emory) Umbrell. He was a member of Paxton United Methodist Church in Tenaha. He worked as a draftman for Gannett & Fleming in Pennsylvania. He was a Sgt. in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and he received the Purple Heart Award. He was a Scout Master of Troup #74 in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Guy and Crea Umbrell, 2 Sisters, Dorothy Gordon and Janet Heisey, and 2 Brothers, Robert Unbrell and William Umbrell

Etta “Peggy” Montez (Gibbs) Adams, 82, of Timpson, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin. She was born January 23, 1926 in Gary, Texas to George K. Gibbs and Lillie Esther Taylor Gibbs.

Mrs. Missouri Ann Wilson, age 96 of Tenaha, Texas, funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Tenaha with Rev. Rusty Atwood and Rev. Billy McDaniel officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Monday night, November 17, 2008 in Carthage.

Missouri Ann Spurlock Wilson was born on July 29, 1912 in Shelby County, Texas to Thomas and Daisey Dee Preister Spurlock. She married William Albert Wilson and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Wilson lived her lifetime in Tenaha and was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of Tenaha. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Perry and Jemima Hildebrand; one son, Glenn Wilson; seven siblings; and daughter-in-law, Toni Wilson.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by one son, Jimmy Harland Wilson of Greenwood, LA; one daughter, Margie Ann Hopkins and husband Dean of Gary, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Mrs. Wilson’s great-grandsons. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Wilson’s grandsons.

Johnny “Old Grandpa” Fenley, age 74, of Megargel, Texas died Friday, November 7, 2008, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Phillip Centers of Maplewood, Missouri, the Rev. Randy Lawson of Weatherford, Texas and the Rev. Lyndell Garrett of Eastland, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow in the Megargel Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.

Johnny was born February 15, 1934 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Elva Norris and Vollie Viola (Goodman) Fenley. He married Nelva Kellar on March 19, 1956 in Plainview, Texas. Johnny, Nelva and children would then make their home at various ports in California, Washington and Oregon. Johnny’ s military career in the Navy began as a Seaman Recruit on February 20, 1952. He began a 20year career of service to his country. His special duties would be a Mine Sweeping Boatswain’s Mate serving the following vessels and stations, NTC San Diego, California; USS Sumner County; SDiego Grupacresflt, San Diego, California; USS Cabildo; USS Esteem; USS Ruff; Headquarters 13th Naval District, Seattle, Washington; Fletragrp, San Diego, California; Nismf, Bremerton, Washington; Naval Facility Coos Head, Coos Bay, Oregon; and Naval Support Activity, Seattle, Washington. Johnny retired from the Navy in 1971 but continued to serve in the Fleet Reserves for the next 10 years. He and Nelva returned to Texas. They moved to Megargel, Texas in 1974 from Carthage. He worked as a driller and roughneck in the oilfield and as a carpenter. He was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Zeno and Billy J. Fenley and one sister, Thelma Hasty.

Survivors include his wife, Nelva Fenley of Megargel, Texas; one son, Johnny L. Fenley and very best friend Debbie Tegart of Megargel; one daughter, Donna Routon and husband Russell of Megargel; two brothers, Lamar Fenley and wife Frances of Gorman, Texas and Elton Fenley and wife Ruth of Center, Texas; one sister, Donna Gail Fenley of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren, Johnny B. “Rowdy” Routon and best friend, Ramona Prestridge of Olney, Texas and Katrina Routon and fiancé Matthew Dixon of Lubbock, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Johnny-Joe, Cissa, Blake, Graycen, Michael and Devin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, November 9, 2008 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Maxie Ziesemer, 88, of Houston formerly of Center, passed away Friday
November 7, 2008.

Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday November 9, 2008 at Short Cemetery with Bro. John Bender officiating.

She was born March 21, 1920 to Amos and Lettie (Mills) Hughes. She was of the Methodist Faith. She graduated from Center High School in 1938 and attended Blinn Junior College. She worked in a shipyard in Long Island and Houston for over 35 years, she also worked as a receptionist for CWA and she was a worthy advisor for the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Amos and Lettie Hughes, Husband, Herbert Ziesemer, and Son, Tony Lee Ziesemer.

O.K. “Buddy” Hagler, 76, of Center, passed away Thursday November 6, 2008 at his home. He was born May 17, 1932 in Shelby County to Joe Oliver Hagler and Emma Mae Askew Hagler. Buddy was a retired USDA inspector, and had once served as Justice of the Peace of Precinct 2 in Shelby County, and also Commissioner for Precinct 2. Buddy was a member of the Sam Houston Masonic Lodge #32, and the Sharon Temple Shrine

James “Dennis” Miller, 49, of Center, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. He was born July 25, 1959 in Houston of John D. Miller and Diane Morgan Miller.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 7 at Enterprise Cemetery in Shelby County with Harvie Lee Brown III officiating.

J. W. Ross, 88, of the Silas Community, Timpson, Texas, graveside service will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 05, 2008, at MT. Olive Cemetery with Orval Miller officiating. Mr. Ross passed away Monday, November 03, 2008, in Nacogdoches Medical Center.

Born August 14, 1920, in Vinita, Ok., he was the son of the late Wasker R. and Willie Lee (Rutherford) Ross. He and Laura Fisher were married on December 14, 1939, in Stilwell, Ok. Mr. Ross retired as a truck driver, having worked for Texaco. He was a member of Newbern and Timpson Masonic Lodges.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Laura Fisher Ross of Timpson; son, Jim Ross and wife Linda of Hallsville, Texas; 2 daughters Doris Griffith and husband Bob of Houston and Roberta Parker of Humble; 3 brothers, Sheridan Ross of Linden, Texas, Darrell Ross and Dale Ross, both of Westville, OK.5 sisters, Zella Shipley and Willodene Cooper, both of Westville, OK. Madeline Sylvester of Tahlequah, Ok. Joann Luper and Carolene Barlow, both of Watts, Ok. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: La Donna Lacy, Terry Griffith, Tracie Parker, Jason Parker, Stuart Ross and Kevin Ross; 5 great-grandchildren: Jonathan Lacy, Samantha Lacy, Nikalas Brasher, Ross Reddick, and Payton Grace Parker; and special grandson, Ryan Golden.

In addition to his parents, J.W. was preceded in death by granddaughter, Sherri Ann Parker; son-in-law, John Parker; and 2 brother, Jerry L. Ross and Eugene Ross.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Mildred Jane Wagstaff, 84, of Orange, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008 in Orange. She was born September 30, 1924 in San Augustine County, Texas to Marion Watson Henley and Ethal Mae Loggins Henley.
Mrs. Wagstaff retired from Orange Memorial Hospital where she was employed as a nurse. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 3, 2008 at Dreka United Pentecostal Church in Dreka with Bro. Kerry Green, Bro. Edward McRae and Bro. W. W. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Reynolds Cemetery in Dreka.

Janice Wilde Cantrell, age 71, of Bay City, Tx. services will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, November 2, 2008, in Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Timpson, with Rev. Josh Walters officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Timpson. Mrs. Cantrell passed away in Bay CIty, Tx. on October 30, 2008

Born in Long Point, Tx. June 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Paul and Hattie (Foerster) Wilde. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Sam Houston State University and spent 30 years teaching math. Most of her teaching years were at C.E. King Jr. High School in Sheldon, Tx. She was married to Daniel Allen Cantrell on November 23, 1961.

Survivors include husband Daniel Allen "Buddy" Cantrell of Bay City; 2 daughters, Cindy Lewing and husband Ronnie of Galveston, Tx. and Paula Harness and husband Matt of Mesquite, Tx. 4 grandchildren; Jake Lewing, Sarah Lewing, Megan Harness and Brittany Harness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son Samuel Allen Cantrell and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM.
