Wanda Jean Smith, 91, of Center, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2019 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on July 23, 1927 in Maud, Texas to Travis Banks and Iva Lewis Banks. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Wanda married William Ernest Smith in 1941, and he preceded her in death on December 25, 1973. She served Shelby County as County Auditor for 28 years and was a member of the Eastern Star for 58 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Smith; her parents, Travis and Iva Banks; and her infant brother, Emanual Banks.
She is survived by:
Her son: Lynn Smith and wife, Sherry of Nacogdoches
Granddaughter: Stacey Lynn Smith of Temple
And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
