June 21, 2023 - Due to the excessive heat and the off and on power outages, the 1885 Historic Courthouse will be closed for tours this week. A comfortable temperature inside the courthouse is being difficult to maintain under the current situation.
According to the National Weather Service, Shreveport, Louisiana, only one more day of excessive heat is projected for the week. There is a private event scheduled for the 1885 Historic Courthouse on Friday, June 23.
The courthouse will reopen on Wednesday, June 28 at 1pm for tours. Your understanding is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you at the Irish Castle on the square in Center.
