Alzheimer's Caregivers Program Presented by Shannon Lutmer Rescheduled

Update and Change to Date: The special guest had a family emergency and we are having to postpone her visit to the support group until June 30th. The support group will still meet Thursday, May 26th, but the Presentation on Six Senses will be held on June 30th.


May 14, 2016 - A program for Alzheimer's caregivers is being presented on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 starting at 12:00 noon until 1:30pm at Nacogdoches Treatment Center.

Shannon Lutmer an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Trainer will present a program, Using the “SIX” Senses and Using Them Well with Dementia Patients.

Shannon has a Masters in Early Childhood, was a Licensed Vocational Nurse, has Chaplain training and has taken several classes for dementia on line and seminars in person.  She works with dementia patients at late and end stage as a volunteer for Hospice of East Texas, and provides in-service training for care giving staffs at memory care and assisted living facilities.
