Long Live the Legacy of C.H. Daniels School

April 27, 2018 - As we approach May 2018, it is time to remember 50 years ago the C. H. Daniels High School in Center, Texas graduated its last senior class. The students attending school would be transferred to Center High School and the other schools in town. The immediate grades remained at Daniels Intermediate (renamed) until another building was completed in the Center School complex.

Just think 50 years have brought about a lot of changes but the love for C. H. Daniels High still lives in the hearts of the Alumni and their many descendants. The school building was sold and has been vacant for many years now after going through two ownerships. Some work could be done to restore it if the owner would answer to the dreams of the alumni.

This May the alumni of Daniels High School will be recognizing the 50 year anniversary of the school closing and will have a grand celebration during the 2019 Daniels School reunion. The graduates of 1968 will be spotlighted and honored along with the class of 1969 since they were Juniors and had spent the bulk of their higher education at Daniels. More details will be published in mid-summer for planning that activity.

Watch for regular spotlights of graduates and students of C H Daniels High in May month.
