TEEA serves as an education arm of Texas A&M to help families and Homemakers learn of latest developments and material that helps them to live healthy, economical and exciting lives.

The Director helps plan and direct activities for Homemaking clubs that meet in each of 9 active counties in East Texas. This year District 5 is a co-hostess of the State Conference that convenes in Plano in September. She will go to the board meeting to meet with directors from around the state to coordinate plans with other educators.

District meetings are held three times a year for TEEA club members to share their crafts and hobbies and to learn leadership skills that help individuals in the community. Shelby County EEA is active in having monthly meetins, attending district and state meetings and volunteering in the community to help those who have needs. Occasionally they have fund raisers to help with the cost of scholarships for 4-H clubs.
