Sabine River Swells, Floods River Stage in Logansport

March 16, 2015 - Larry Rymal, a Joaquin resident, submitted a photo of the River Stage in the Dennis Freeman Memorial River Park at Logansport. The photo shows the Sabine River swelled by all the recent rains which made the River Stage inaccessible.

According to a rain station in Joaquin (Joaquin W5RYM), the Texas side of the river had received 4.88 inches of total rainfall from the 1st of March until the photo was taken Saturday morning, March 14th.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the Sabine River at Logansport is at 28.91 feet as of today, March 16th, at 3:45pm. The flood stage for the area is 28 feet.
