Shelby County Historical Society September Meeting

September 13, 2016 - The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting September 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street.  Our guest speaker this month will be Terry Lacher.  She will speak to us about  "Everyone Has a Story:  Bring your Memories to the Page."    Everyone is invited to attend.

Terri Lacher, columnist, freelance writer, and speaker, is the author of “Cobwebs in the Attic,” found bimonthly in "The Light and Champion." She has published various short stories in "Chicken Soup for the Soul," and "Women of Worth," along with writing historic articles for David Swanzy's "We the People of Shelby County." Terri has also been a workshop presenter at East Texas Baptist University's Christian Writers' Conference. In addition to writing, she teaches children and adult writing workshops at the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library. Her love of writing came through a long family history of Ozark Mountain story tellers living around Fayetteville, Arkansas.
