XYZ Homemakers Club February Meeting, Carolyn Bounds Guest Speaker

March 10, 2020 - The XYZ Homemakers Club, officially the Extension Education Association, a division of the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, met on February 20, 2020 at the James Community House. Ellen Manning, XYZ Homemakers Club President introduced guest speaker Carolyn Bounds who demonstrated how to create a Forsythe pot for simple, inexpensive multiple plant propagations.

Following the demonstration, the completed Forsythe pot was presented to Bobbie Nutt who guessed the "winning number." Bounds also presented the XYZ Club members with a variety of plant cuttings with which they could enjoy making Forsythe pots at home in time for spring transplanting.

The XYZ Homemakers Club meets monthly and is active not only locally, but also at district and state levels. The club proudly supports scholarships for Shelby County 4-H youngsters.
