NWS Issues Significant Weather Advisory

September 30, 2018 - Significant weather advisory for eastern Nacogdoches, Shelby, Southeastern Angelina and San Augustine counties until 5:30pm CDT.

At 435pm CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Rockland, moving north at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include: Center, San Augustine, Timpson, Melrose, Patroon, Martinsville, Bland Lake, Neuville, Macune, Etoile, Shelbyville, Zavalla, Chireno, Huxley, Broaddus, Jericho, Stockman, Chinaquapin, Hurstown and Denning.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning Update for Shelby County

January 2, 2017 - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning as of 8:46am Monday, January 2, 2017. The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Western Sabine Parish in northwestern Louisiana, Southeastern Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas, Southeastern Shelby County in eastern Texas, Eastern Angelina County in eastern Texas, San Augustine County in eastern Texas, Sabine County in eastern Texas until 9:30am.

Heavy Rainfall Expected to Impact the Four State Region

October 23, 2015 - A deep upper level trough across the southern and central plains is helping tap moisture from the eastern Pacific and Gulf of Mexico.  As a result, widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect most of North Central and Northeast Texas as well as Southeast Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas today. This rainfall should continue into tonight with the heaviest rainfall expected to remain across the northern half of Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas.
