May 26, 2017 - The City of San Augustine Main Street Department is pleased to announce that the Junk in the Trunk Trades Day event will be held every First Saturday of each month. Downtown businesses are encouraged to have special sales or events on the First Saturday too!

San Augustine Texas Treasures Heritage Festival 2017

February 16, 2017 - San Augustine is celebrating 300 years of the founding of Mission Dolores and inkeeping with that theme, Main Street is presenting its 3rd Annual Heritage Festival Saturday, April 22 from 9-5 in downtown historic San Augustine.

A street called Antique Street will feature vendors selling their old items. No junk here, but just good stuff. A street called Heritage Row features demos of an assorted array of the ole time ways of doing things-spinning, beekeeping, and much more.

San Augustine Main Street, Texas Workforce Solutions Host Autumn Job Fair

September 15, 2016 - The City of San Augustine Main Street, San Augustine County, and Texas Workforce Solutions of Deep East Texas are collaborating to offer a Job Fair. The event will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, in the San Augustine Courthouse. The courthouse is located at 100 W. Columbia St. Suite 103 San Augustine, Texas 75972

September 10, 2016 (Event flyer/schedule) - The City of San Augustine Main Street Program and its co-sponsors San Augustine County and San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce will again host “An American Main Street” on Sunday, September 11th on the square in downtown San Augustine.

Country in the Pines Hosted by San Augustine Go-Texan

August 29, 2016 - San Augustine Go-Texan will be hosting the first annual "Country in the Pines" event October 1st at the San Augustine Fair Grounds (1109 Oaklawn St.). There will be a IBCA Sanctioned BBQ Cookoff. Entry will be $125 per team, with an extra $20 for Friday night. This will be an open competition with a 90% payback on 3 majors (Chicken, Prok and Brisket) with a $1000 added money to Overall Champion. Teams can arrive Friday for set up.

July 30, 2016 - The City of San Augustine Main Street Program and its co-sponsors will again host “An American Main Street” on Sunday, September 11th on the square in downtown San Augustine. The event will recognize and honor all area First Responders, Law Enforcement, Military Service Organizations, Emergency and Volunteer agencies county wide. The free to the public event will include Patriotic Music and a good ole American barbecue! The time is set for 2 to 4 PM so as not to interfere with church attendance.

Christmas Jubilee Days in Downtown San Augustine

December 1, 2015 - San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce is hosting Christmas Jubilee Days, Friday and Saturday, December 4th and 5th.

Join us in historic downtown San Augustine for two days full of Christmas scents, sights, sounds, and shopping! Santa Claus will make an appearance Friday afternoon inside Texas Star Retail.

Visit the area merchants for demonstrations, refreshments, free food, special drawings and games, music, and bargains. Many of the stores have extended hours and look for charitable giving opportunities.
