August 27, 2017 - Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell reports that on Sunday, August 27, 2017 Shelby County Sheriff's Communications Division received a call at approximately 6:42am of a body floating in the Sabine River. The call was transferred from DeSoto Parish and they had lost contact with the caller. SCSO Communications was able to regain contact with the caller. Responding from SCSO was Sheriff Willis Blackwell, Deputy Adam Renfro and Investigator Del Birdwell along with Constable Pct. 3 Roy Cheatwood. TPWD Game Warden Austin Cryer also responded.

August 18, 2017 - Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell reports that on August 2, 2017, Weeks and Ashley Crawford contacted Investigator Fears at SCSO to request assistance in locating their dog, Marucci, a French Mastiff that had gone missing or possibly stolen.

August 9, 2017 - Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell reports the recovery of stolen property in Shelby County.

July 21, 2017 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information and assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent burglary that occurred in the Stockman Community on two different occasions between May 25th and May 27th, 2017.
