November 28, 2023 - Breakfast with Santa is coming to the John D. Windham Civic Center on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9am until 11am with proceeds to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center. Enjoy breakfast with Santa and his surprise guests!
November 18, 2022 - The CAC Annual Toy Drive starts Today, Friday, Nov 18! We are excited to have this chance to brighten the lives of children who have experienced abuse or trauma, but we know this is only possible through the generosity of our community. This year we will have tags for each child in need that will specify age and interests.
October 27, 2022 - First Baptist Church of Shelbyville is hosting a Trunk or Treat and a Fish Fry on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm. First Baptist Church is located next to the Shelbyville Fire Department at the top of the hill.
April 7, 2022 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center will be hosting our annual Butterfly Release in recognition of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This event will take place on Thursday, April 7th, on the downtown square starting at 4:30pm.

June 9, 2020 – The American Electric Power Foundation has awarded a total of $29,500 to five East Texas nonprofits in Southwestern Electric Power Co.’s (SWEPCO) service area providing additional health and human services in response to COVID-19.
Update: The Butterfly release is being moved to Tuesday, April 16th due to Wednesday's weather forecast. It will still take place at 4:00 pm on the downtown Center Square. Farmers State Bank will be serving hot dogs for all!
