June 28, 2023 - Tuxedo Springs opened their doors to the Shelby County Chamber of Commence and its ambassadors for a new member ribbon cutting on June 2, 2023.
The venue owned by Layla and Jose Solis has been in the making since construction began in July of 2021.
June 21, 2023 - According to the National Weather Service, Shreveport, Louisiana, Shelby County should receive a break from the excessive heat with the current heat advisory ending at 7pm.
June 21, 2023 - Due to the excessive heat and the off and on power outages, the 1885 Historic Courthouse will be closed for tours this week. A comfortable temperature inside the courthouse is being difficult to maintain under the current situation.
According to the National Weather Service, Shreveport, Louisiana, only one more day of excessive heat is projected for the week. There is a private event scheduled for the 1885 Historic Courthouse on Friday, June 23.
June 17, 2023 - The National Weather Service out of Shreveport, LA forecasts Shelby County will have a marginal chance for isolated thunderstorms this evening and overnight.
5:08pm Update: Power has returned at the Shelby County Today office, and although some portions of Center area have regained power, the north part of Center remains without power.
June 8, 2023 - The Shelby County Historic 1885 Courthouse will be closed today and tomorrow, June 8-9 due to air conditioning repairs. Plans are to reopen for tours on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
The Historic 1885 Courthouse will be close for a private event on Friday, June 23, 2023.
