November 27, 2019 - The Center HS Theater class will be performing "Christmas at the Rio" at 4:30pm with the box office opening at 4pm on Saturday, December 7th.
Be sure to get your popcorn before the parade starts at 6pm. Following the parade, the Rio will be showing "Last Christmas" at 7:30pm.
And best of all downtown businesses will be open all day for Christmas Shopping.
November 27, 2019 - Following acceptance of resignations for two Justice of the Peace by the Commissioners' Court, the list of offices below to be included on the 2020 Primary Ballot has been updated. Filing for a place on the ballot ends December 9, 2019.
November 18, 2019 - The upcoming Presidental election has dominated the national news; however, it isn't the only office to be included on the 2020 Primary Election ballot.
November 19, 2019 - The Rotary Club of Center had the unique opportunity to merge their Tuesday meeting with the Shelby County Junior Chamber of Commerce conference held at the Civic Center on November 19th.
November 18, 2019 - The first week of filing for a place on the 2020 Primary Ballot has yielded the below list of candidates who have filed to run for Shelby County offices. Three more weeks remain until the filing deadline of Monday, December 9, 2019 at 6pm arrives.
November 13, 2019 - Construction is happening at the entrance to Field Street off of San Augustine Street as crews work repairing Field Street at the intersection.
To visit the Shelby County Today office, a detour route from San Augustine Street is to turn down Houston Street beside the Wayne Christian Financial office, make a right onto Baldwin Street, and then a right onto Field Street.
Be alert if traveling through the area and always watch out for construction workers.
