January 21, 2019 - The Fillies bounced back from Wednesday’s loss with a win against the Bossier Parrish , 98-68. The Fillies defense was integral to their win, holding the Cavaliers to 15 points in the 1st quarter, 17 points in the second, and a mere 8 in the third. The defense propelled the offense in this game. The lead ballooned to over 30 late in the second half.
January 21, 2019 - Panola was unable to extend their winning streak to 9, instead falling at home 64-62 to Kilgore. After a back and forth first half, the Ponies were able to take a 28-23 lead into the locker room at half. Panola started off hot in the second half, extending their lead to 40-30. But Kilgore came right back. With the score tied 62 all, Kilgore got the ball inside and got a dunk to put them up two with 45 seconds to play. Panola would turn the ball over on the ensuing possession. Kilgore then missed two free throws to give the Ponies one last shot.

January 17, 2019 - An inability to connect on the defensive end proved to be a game changer for the Fillies, who fell to Tyler College 68-87 Wednesday night in Carthage. Despite a 10 point lead in the first quarter, the Fillies struggled defensively throughout the rest of the game. On the offensive end, turnovers seemed to be the difference maker.
January 17, 2019 - Panola was in another barn burner on Wednesday night escaping with a 66-64 victory at Paris. The win pushes the Ponies to 16-3, 6-1 in Region XIV play. After a first half that saw the Ponies jump out to an 8-0 lead, Paris came right back, and was able to tie it up at 34 going into halftime. Panola again pushed ahead, this time by double digits at 50-39. Paris again would come back and take their first lead of the game at 62-61 with 2:30 left on the clock. Panola bounced back and took the lead back.
January 14, 2019 - After defeating Blinn and Angelina earlier in the week, the Ponies capped a perfect week with a 77-69 victory over visiting Coastal Bend. Panola got off to a quick 8-2 start and were able to build a double-digit lead.
The lead would stay near double digits until Coastal Bend finished the first half strong and cut it to 42-37 at half. Panola would have another quick start in the second half building their lead to 56-42 with 14:58 remaining.
January 14, 2019 - A 19-10 run in the third quarter proved to be the difference in the Fillies 66-56 win over the Coastal Bend Cougars. Panola was able to survive the Cougars’ game long comebacks behind defensive stops and scoring in key possessions.
The Fillies had four players in double figures, led by Maryia Adashchyk with 16. Rounding out the scoring for the Fillies was Alicja Falkowska, Daryna Barcharova and Nyidier Riak with 12, 11 and 10 respectively. Adashcyk, Riak and Falkowska also lead the team in rebounding with 12, 8 and 6.
January 11, 2019 - Panola College at our Shelby College location in Center, is offering Certified Nurse Aide Courses beginning January 14 – May 9, 2019. January 10, 2019 - After a back and forth first half that saw Panola head into the locker room down 39-36, Panola came back on the road at Angelina for an 83-81 victory. Tariq Simmons led the way with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Lenell Henry and Jeffrey Boyd both scored 12 points. With the win, the Ponies are now 14-3 with a 4-1 Region XIV record.
Panola is back in action at home Saturday at 4pm vs Coastal Bend.
January 10, 2019 - Despite a hard-fought battle that included 13 lead changes and 8 ties, the Fillies could not pull up the upset, falling to #2 Trinity Valley Wednesday, 62-69.
A 6-0 run in the first 1:20 of the fourth quarter by the Cardinals proved too much for Panola College. The Fillies couldn’t recover from the deficit and could not cut it under seven the rest of the contest despite valiant effort
