March 5, 2019 Austin (House Bill 3 Flyer) - State Representative Chris Paddie (R-Marshall) today joined Speaker Dennis Bonnen, Public Education Chairman Dan Huberty, and Members of the Texas House of Representatives, to announce the filing of House Bill 3. The “Texas Plan” is a meaningful and comprehensive plan to reform school finance.
March 1, 2019 - This week was another week full of East Texans in Austin! I was pleased to welcome groups from Harrison and Cass counties. While in Austin, we were able to hold meetings with leaders in energy, education, health care and several other important groups to facilitate a free flow of information and ideas between the folks making policies and the folks who work in these fields every day.
February 22, 2019 - This week, I had the honor of welcoming a great delegation for Panola County Day at the Capitol. We had the opportunity to discuss the important issues facing the legislature this session and answer questions ranging from school finance and property tax reform to pro-life issues. During these hectic weeks in Austin, it is always a welcome reprieve to have folks from East Texas drop in.

Februry 4, 2019 - As we complete the fourth week of the legislative session, we are starting to see the priorities of this legislature take shape as bills are filed and priorities are laid out. Next week, Gov. Abbott will deliver the State of the State address to the House and Senate. In this speech, the Governor will lay out his priorities and set forth which issues are emergency items for this legislative session.

January 24, 2019 Austin - State Representative Chris Paddie (R-Marshall) has been appointed as Chairman of the House Energy Resources Committee. He was also appointed to serve on the House Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee and the Redistricting Committee.
January 21, 2019 - While the 86th Legislature was sworn in last week, this week was the inauguration of the governor and lieutenant governor. I was pleased to hear Gov. Abbott and Lt. Gov. Patrick agree with the House's commitment to our public schools.
