August 24, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces the 39th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, will kick-off Wednesday, September 23rd with several events, including the Chicken Fajita Lunch, the Doo-Dah Parade and the Chicken Cooking Contest. These events usher in the season prior to the Festival opening Thursday, October 1st.

August 20, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the East Texas Poultry Festival will be October 1-3 on the historic downtown square. One of several preliminary festivities is the Queen's Court Scholarship Pageant. The reigning East Texas Poultry Festival Queen Zoey Stuever will crown her successor on Saturday, September 26 on stage at Center High School.
August 4, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host a new member ribbon cutting for The Heart Institute of East Texas, on Thursday, August 6 at 11:30 a.m. The Heart Institute of East Texas is located at 233 Hurst Street, Suite B in the Medical Specialist Center behind East Texas Extended Care.
The Heart Institute of East Texas has been “providing exceptional care without exception since 1982.”
The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
July 28, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a New Member Ribbon Cutting for I’m So Fancy Boutique and owners, Angie Tomlin and Shellie Henry on Friday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m. I’m So Fancy Boutique is located at 1110 Tenaha Street, Suite 3 in Center.

July 20, 2015 - The deadline to apply for an Arts and Crafts vendor booth at the 39th East Texas Poultry Festival sponsored by Farmers State Bank is Friday, August 7th. The festival will take place October 1-3 on the downtown Center square. Limited spaces are still available and the applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office. Gold Sponsors for the Festival are City of Center, Drewery Construction and Tyson Foods.
