September 21, 2020 - It's time for the annual Yellowpine homecoming planned for Sept. 26-27, 2020 on the campus of Yellowpine-Macedonia Baptist Church.

At 6pm Saturday, Sept. 26, there will be a community gospel singing. Everyone is invited to attend and participate.

May 7, 2018 - The Whitton Family Reunion will be held at Bishop Chapel Baptist Church (5082 Tx Hwy 63 East - Jasper, TX) on Saturday, June 2, 2018, with a covered dish lunch and lots of great fellowship. Ancestors of Kirt Patrick and Eliza (Hickman) Whitton and friends and other relatives of this family are encouraged and invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Whitton reared their ten children between Pineland and Broaddus. Their children are all deceased now and included Walter Whitton, Yvonne Kingsley, Duetta Ogden, K.P.

October 1, 2017 - Churches of the Original Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Association will meet for the group's 167th annual session at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017. The day's event will be hosted by Brookeland Missionary Baptist Church, located at 300 Loop 149 in Brookeland, Texas (Sabine County).

Bro. Mike Hancock, pastor of Zion Hill, will be delivering the annual message. There will be guests from the state association offering reports and information as well as local reports and fellowship. A covered dish lunch will be served.

August 3, 2017 - Plans are in full swing for Cason Monk-Metcalf’s annual Spirit of 45 celebration, commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the end of World War II, according to Constance Engelking, coordinator for the event.

This free, public program will be held Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, located at 5400 North St. in Nacogdoches.
