Center City Baseball Park on Saturday, July 2, 2022 –
Dixie League Baseball Regional and State Tournament play is again underway at Center City Baseball Complex. Four tournaments are hosting more than 25 teams including teams from Center, EMC, Athens, Livingston, Henderson, Gilmer, Splendora, Onalaska, Pineland, Nacogdoches, Cleveland, Dayton, Bullard, Hudson, Huntington, Willis, Panola County, Howe, and Huffman. Some towns even had teams in more than one tourney.
The Center Roughriders were spotted leading EMC early Saturday morning and holding a 7-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning. They were playing in the 2022 Dixie Jr. State Tournament and went on to win the game.
Other tournaments were: 2022 Texas 10U AAA Classic, 2022 Texas 10U Classic and the 2022 Texas AAA South Regional which included another Center ball team.
The tournament is scheduled to run from today, July 2 through July 4th but is currently experiencing delays due to inclement weather.
