50 Women Impact Donates to Cultivate Mental Health

July 4, 2022 - This quarters funds of 50 Women Impact was awarded to Cultivate Mental Health on June 30, 2022. As of the meeting time, the group had collected $9,500; however, it is expect the remaining donations from the over 100 women will increase the total.

Cultivate Mental Health shared in a Facebook post, “We are grateful to the 50 Women of Impact for their continual support and encouragement. We recently applied for their grant and received $9,500 in order to make a difference in our community. Join us in thanking them for their generosity.”

Cultivate Mental Health is a 501 c3 Mental Health Non Profit in East Texas founded by Dan Wilkins Phd, LPC-S. Cultivate services all of Shelby County with hopes to expand to other counties in the future.

Current staff includes one LPC and one LPC Associate. Cultivate hopes to add more mental health providers including LPCs and License Social Workers. Services provided include: therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, drug misuse, stress, oppositional defiant behaviors, ADD/ADHD, college and career counseling, play therapy, grief counseling, family relationships, couples counseling, family relationships, mood disorders, and much more. Cultivate aims to not only serve individuals but will also offer group therapy for issues such as grief and drug misuses. Lastly, and most importantly, Cultivate recognizes the importance of psychoeducation and aims to educate this community about mental health in order to decrease mental health stigma and increase the availability of mental health services within Shelby County.
