November 17, 2025 - Congratulations to Audrey Adams, Mikayla Anderson, and Jack Wagner!
These outstanding students scored high enough on the PSAT to automatically qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication!
PSAT Information
Being a PSAT National Merit Qualifier means a student’s score on the PSAT/NMSQT was high enough to qualify them for recognition in the National Merit® Scholarship Program. This recognition is a significant academic achievement that can lead to scholarships. The top 50,000 scorers qualify for the program, with the highest-scoring students in each state named Semifinalists and the remaining students recognized as Commended Students.
What it means:
- Academic recognition: The student is among the top 1% of high school students who take the PSAT/NMSQT each year.
- Potential for scholarships: They have the opportunity to continue in the competition to become a Finalist and potentially receive a National Merit Scholarship.
- State-level distinction: If their score places them in the top 1% within their state, they become a Semifinalist, earning an elevated level of recognition.
- National-level distinction: If they qualify but do not reach Semifinalist status, they are recognized as a Commended Student.
