Angelina County Genealogical Society to Commemorate 50th Anniversary of Angelina College

September 14, 2018 - The Angelina County Genealogical Society will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Angelina College at 4 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 in the Community Meeting Room of Kurth Memorial Library on 702 South Raguet in Lufkin, Texas (75904). ACGS invited the following list of people to participate in a panel discussion about AC’s history: Dr. Michael Simon, Dana Smithart, Mayor Bob brown, Ronnie Hall, Gaylon Wright, Louis Debetaz, Mary (Neel) Cantrell, Ann (English) Richardson, Louis Landers, Dr. Larry Phillips, Dr. Patricia Mckenzie, Gloria (Lewis) Gilder, Caye (Hudgins) Billingsley, Dr. Jimmy Tinkle, and Jan Avery-Sublett, and all of the present board members. Dwan and Sharon (Shives) Coleman, Guy and Dorothy Davis, and Elaine Jackson will also be invited to participate. Coffee and cookies will begin at 3 p.m.

At 6pm, in the Fellowship Hall of Keltys United Methodist Church, Stanley Fletcher will discuss “Ferry Tells,” a program within which he discusses the thirty seven ferries on the Sabine River.
