April 1, 2016 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy will be hosting our annual Butterfly Release on Friday, April 22, 2016, in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. This event will be held at the Community House (Located across from Mangum Funeral Home on San Augustine Street in Center) starting at 4pm and is open to the community. The butterfly release is an opportunity for you to contribute your time to raising awareness of child abuse. You can also help the SCCAC in our efforts to prevent child abuse by educating yourself and others about child abuse.
Throughout the month of April, you can visit our Facebook page for more information about how to spot signs of child abuse, how to report concerns, and other ways you help prevent child abuse. Together we CAN protect our children, stop abuse, and build a strong and prosperous future for our community.
