April 13, 2023 - On Monday, April 24, 2023, the new locally-owned Christian bookstore, Solid Rock, will officially celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 10am, followed by a book signing event and meet & greet with former Carthage resident and author, Shannon Singh. Everyone is welcome to attend!
Solid Rock, owned by Natasha and Chase Myers, is a Christian bookstore that carries not only Bibles and inspirational books, but also home décor, study materials, candles, gifts, and so much more! Located at 442 West Panola, Solid Rock is a wonderful new, close-to-home resource for those looking to find their next encouraging and inspirational read, a meaningful and special gift from the heart, or a memorable keepsake for their home. Store hours are weekdays 9am to 6pm (Closing at 4pm on Wednesdays) and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.
Author and blogger, Shannon Singh, of Raising a Blessing Blog, will also be available from 10am to 1pm on the 24th to sign copies of her new book, A Time to Dance: Chasing Joy in Difficult Seasons. A Time to Dance is a God-centered approach to walking through the journey of healing in difficult and dark seasons by re-anchoring our identity, peace, heart, and hope in the Father and finding our way to joy again. The book has received excellent reviews from readers and continues to grow in the Christian reading community.
If you would like to purchase a copy of the book in advance, they will be available at Solid Rock while supplies last. Additional copies will be available for purchase on the day of the event!
Also scheduled on the 24th at 12pm, Solid Rock and Shannon Singh invite everyone to drop by to hear a short excerpt reading of the book from the author, followed by light refreshments.
