August 9, 2018 (Event Letter) - On August 11, 2018, from 11am to 1pm, the Pineywoods Family Outreach Center will host our annual back to school event with a Backpack Giveaway to vulnerable families in the Shelby County area.
The event is at Pineywood Outreach, 255 Haley Drive, Center, Texas 75935 and there will be free backpacks, light school supplies, free food, live band, and simple hair braiding.
Each of the backpacks will be stuffed with necessary supplies to give each student a great start for the upcoming school season. Barbers and beauticians will be on site to give the kids a new hairstyle for school along with a band and much more! We are asking local businesses to support our commmunity event with in-kind donations of food and supplies. We expect to serve 500 children and families in the Shelby County area, and we need your help!
