December 24, 2018 - In the tradition of honoring a Shelbyville band senior, an outstanding musician is selected for each school year. The 2018 Shelbyville Band Outstanding Musician is Lizbeth Bautista.
Lizbeth participated in the Dragon Band for 6 years. Her band achievements include the following: State Marching Contest (2 years), Solo and Ensemble (6 years), State Solo and Ensemble (3 years), and participating in the All-Region/Area bands (symphonic band - 2 years). Lizbeth has completed her first semester at Stephen F. Austin State University as a music major and wants to be a high school band director. She is the daughter of Jesus and Edubina Bautista.
