January 28, 2025 - Boo’s Battle Support Fund (BBSF) is a non-profit organization established in honor of Brandi “Boo” Mills after she sadly lost her battle to cancer on June 27, 2017. BBSF provides financial assistance to local families while they, or a loved one, are battling cancer. Since October of 2017 BBSF has helped many families and individuals in the Shelby County and Desoto Parish areas.
During 2024, BBSF is proud to report a total distribution of $58,500 to families and individuals in our area that are battling cancer. This money has helped in many ways. It may go towards medication, medical treatments, assistance in travel expenses, or even assistance in making rent payments or paying the phone bill. Whatever a struggling family or individual needs assistance with, BBSF provides monetary assistance.
During 2024, BBSF hosted several fundraisers. The Tails, Tires, & Tunes event held in Logansport, LA raised a total of $14,406.34. The Annual Fall Festival of Hope event held in Center, TX raised a total of $10,949.83, and our newest event, the Sporting Event Banquet for a Cause, raised an impressive $26,695.55. We also depend on the generosity of individuals and organizations that choose to donate to BBSF which totaled $14,233.89. Fundraising and donations totaling $66,275.60 was added to the Boo’s Battle Support Fund in 2024.
BBSF is forever grateful for those individuals, businesses, and organizations that sponsor events, provide donations, and generously dedicate their valuable time. All funds collected through fundraisers and donations are directly distributed to families and individuals battling cancer. One day we hope to be able to help people in other counties, parishes and states.
