November 17, 2016 - A grand celebration was held at The Mt. Zion CME Church on October 9, 2016, "Remembering Breast Cancer" as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Reverend Elgena Weaver lead the congregation in a service with a candlelight ceremony and balloon launch which remembered the taken and celebrated the survivors. Images of those affected by Breast Cancer were displayed during the ceremony.
