Carter Cares

September 11, 2017 - Dear Parents:

S.W. Carter Elementary has joined the “Adopt a School” program. This program is a collaboration of schools from all over the United States to assist the schools in Texas who were hit hard by Hurricane Harvey.  We have chosen to adopt Bay Colony Elementary in Dickinson, Texas. Dickinson is a small suburb of Houston, Texas that was hit very hard by the hurricane. They are expecting to start back to school on September 11, 2017.

In order to make their transition back to school as easy as possible, S.W. Carter Elementary students are asking for community donations. Bay Colony Elementary students and teachers are in need of all types of school supplies.

Some suggestions are:
Books, pencils, pens, paper, spiral notebooks, expo markers, crayons, glue, scissors, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, etc.
They Cannot accept food or furniture donations.

Students will begin collecting donations this week and will continue to take donations until September 15, 2017.  Please drop off donations at the front entrance of S.W. Carter Elementary.

Thank you for your support!! This will be a great learning experience for our students. Let’s show Dickinson, Texas how much Carter Cares!!
