October 14, 2015 - Students at Center Christian Academy dedicated last week to studying and honoring the United States of America. Activities included daily lessons and group discussions on topics such as: our founding fathers, government structure, balance of power, responsibilities of citizens, and proper flag and national anthem etiquette, coloring pages and activities, group exercises, memorization of the Preamble to the Constitution and the National Anthem, a Flag Etiquette presentation by USAF Retired TSGT, Raymond Caldas, group prayer, and a balloon release.
Staff and students wish to thank area ministers Rev. Todd Jenkins, Rev. Dathan Triplett, and Rev. Mike Belgard for leading us in prayer for the state of Texas, Christians worldwide, and the United States of America, and Mrs. Regina Danley for providing the balloons for the balloon release. Patriotic Week was both educational and enjoyable!
