April 20, 2015 - Center FFA works hard to build leadership, scholarship and character, as well as, to teach marketable job skills in the youth of Center, Texas. We are building a program that provides FFA members the opportunity to learn marketable skills that will benefit them beyond high school, while at the same time, building self-confidence, leadership, communication skills and record-keeping skills.
Throughout the year we travel around the state of Texas to participate in leadership conferences and conventions, as well as, compete in a variety of livestock shows, agriculture mechanics shows, judging contest (wildlife, floral, vet med, livestock, horse and forages), leadership and speaking contest just to name a few. With the help of sponsorships we are able to take advantage of as many opportunities for our students as possible. Last year with the help of sponsorships our FFA officers were able represent the Center FFA at the State FFA Convention in Fort Worth and we hope to be able to take students to the 2015 State Convention in Corpus Christi! Our goal as advisors is to have well rounded program to reach the interest of all students involved and to have our students participate in events and contest that will benefit their learning and education.
