Center First United Methodist Church Announces Pumpkin Patch Grand Opening for Sunday

September 30, 2017 - The Center First United Methodist Church (FUMC) announces the Grand Opening of their annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser at 211 Porter Street on Sunday, October 1 from 12pm until 3pm. Pumpkins of different varieties and sizes, Indian corn and gourds will be available for purchase ranging between $2 and $15 and will be displayed on the lawn behind the church making for a great photo opportunity. Donations from this year’s Pumpkin Patch will assist with the purchase of a defibrillator for the church. 

Sarah Bohannon, Center FUMC Youth Director, coordinates the annual event and stated the Pumpkin Patch is the perfect place to spend time on an October day with family and friends. Sarah added, "The pumpkin patch is a wonderful opportunity to jump into fall! We invite the community to join us for the events and take pictures in the patch, free of charge. We hope to see you there!"

Additional events will be held throughout October at the Pumpkin Patch including Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 3pm, Movie Night on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and Cider Sipping Senior Day on Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 2pm until 5pm.

The Pumpkin Patch is open to the entire community from Sunday, Oct. 1 through Wednesday, Oct. 25 on Thursdays from 2p.m. to 5pm, Saturdays, 10am to 5pm and Sundays, 9:30am until 12:30pm
