May 15, 2025 - Center High School introduces the graduating class of 2025. Commencement ceremonies will be held at 8pm Friday, May 16, 2025. The ceremony will be broadcast online on Youtube for family and friends unable to attend.
The class Valedictorian is Hollie Brooke Herndon who is the daughter of Ward and Sommer Herndon. She will be attending Texas A&M University in College Station to pursue a degree in Biology and then go on to obtain her Doctorate in Pharmacy.
Her Achievements and Honors are Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award (12); A Honor Roll, High Honors (9-12); Voted Most Intellectual by Peers (12); Voted Most Involved by CHS Teachers (12); National Honors Society(10-12), NHS Parliamentarian (12); Junior Chamber of Commerce member (9-12); Varsity Tennis (10-12); Team Tennis District Champions (11-12); Team Tennis Area Champions (12); Overall Spring District Champs (11); Team Tennis Regional-finalist (10); Tennis First Team Academic All-State (12); Varsity Powerlifting (9-12); Three-time Regional Powerlifting Qualifier (10-12); Powerlifting Iron Women Award (11); THSWPA All Academic Elite Team (12); Varsity Cheer (10-11); UCA "Pin it Forward" award (11); NETsn Live Sideline Reporter (12); UIL Ready-writing (11); Farm Bureau Student-Athlete of the Month, August (12); and 30+ hours of college credit courses (9-12).
The class Salutatorian is Fatima Romero who is the daughter of Guadalupe Romero and Janet Romero. She will attend Stephen F. Austin State University, where she plans to major in anthropology and pursue a career as an anthropologist.
Her Achievements and Honors are A Honor Roll, High Honor (9-12); National Honor Society (11-12); Junior Chamber of Commerce (9-12); UIL Literary Criticism (11-12), 1st Place in District (12); All-State Band Member (9-12); All-Region Band Member (9-12); Clarinet Choir (9-12); Culinary Arts Program (10-12); Food Handlers Certification (11); AMAS Meat Selection and Cookery Certification (11); and AMSA Food Safety and Sanitation Certification (11).
