On Wednesday Center ISD held college letter of intent signings for Lance Wilburn and Kaden Dixon who will be studying and playing college football next school year. Center Athletic and Head Football Ricky Meeks said these athletes were always hardworking and they put in the work needed to earn these opportunities.”
Kaden Dixon will be headed to Northern Arizona University where he will be studying Kinesiology and playing football for the NAU Lumberjacks who went 5-3 in the Big Sky Conference last season. Dixon stated, “I will get looked at to possibly play at runningback, receiver, defensive back, and special teams. I would like to contribute wherever needed. I chose NAU because I had a good feeling about the facilities, community, team, and faculty.”
Lance Wilburn will head to Stephen F. Austin State University to play for the Lumberjacks. SFA was 3-8 overall last season and went 0-6 in United Athletic Conference play. Lance will study business/ finance and looks to play receiver for the ‘Jacks. He said, “I like the campus and the atmosphere of the school.”
