December 1, 2025 - (Participation Form) - If you would like to participate in the Flags to Fight Hunger Program and receive a flag delivered and installed at your home (within the city limits), fill out the form and return to the Center ISD Administration Office and deliver to Inez Hughes. The new flag year starts every January.
There are seven holidays in which the flags are delivered: Veteran's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, & Patriot's Day.
Flags to Fight Hunger is a resource we use to fund our Backpack Program at school. Anyone in the Center Community can "rent" a flag for the year and our maintenance team will put their flags out at each holiday. They can rent however many flags they want and the prices are determined by the number of flags they select. Our Backpack Program, organized through Tyler Food Bank, is a program that allows us to send home a zip lock bag of food each weekend to those at risk students. We purchase all the food boxes from Tyler Food Bank, using the money collected by renting the flags. We truly appreciate our community by supporting our Flags to Fight Hunger every year by renting flags!
