Center Middle School’s My Sister, Myself "Bucket Fundraiser" for Educational Tour

Friday, November 4th, 3:45pm - 5:30 pm, On the Center Square

November 4, 2022 - Center Middle School Chapter of “My Sister, Myself” organized January 25, 2017. It is an organization created out of a need to see young girls empowered as future leaders of our community. We are sanctioned by the school and the Chapter's mission is to help young teenage girls build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, become role models for other teens their age and recognize the value of community service. Through weekly chapter meetings, facilitated by adult leaders and guest speakers, My Sister, Myself helps middle school girls learn how to better understand and address the issues they face in today’s society.

We are planning our annual Educational/College tour, which will include visiting Stephen F. Austin University, volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, visiting NASA’s Johnson Space Center and various other educational activities while we are in the Houston/Galveston area. We have a goal of raising about $5,000 for our 25 young ladies to be able to go on this trip without cost to them. We need your help to make this happen. The group is presently composed of 8th grade girls and has approximately 25 members.
