April 5, 2016 - Boys - The team of Beau Byrnes, Austin Craig, Rex Kirkley, Zack Ritter, and Blane Agnew are advancing to Regionals after placing 2nd as a team at the 19-4A District Golf Tournament. The boys started the day 3 shots out of second behind the Rusk Eagles. With final round scores of 77 (Beau Byrnes), 80 (Austin Craig), 85 (Rex Kirkley), and 88 (Zack Ritter), the boys caught and passed Rusk for 2nd Place.
1st Place - Carthage 311 (Day 1) - 297 (Day 2) 608 (Total)
2nd Place - Center 336 (Day 1) - 330 (Day 2) 666 (Total)
3rd Place - Rusk 333 (Day 1) - 343 (Day 2) 676 (Total)
Only the top 2 Teams from the district advance to Regionals.
Beau Byrnes also placed third in the overall tournament.
Girls - Starting the day 2 shots out of 2nd place Madison Agnew with a final round of 97 to tie for 2nd Place overall in the district tournament to advance to Regionals. Madison won 2nd place outright with a 1 hole play-off.
