City of Joaquin Notice of Regular Meeting, April 18 Agenda

April 13, 2023 - The City Council of Joaquin will meet for a Regular Scheduled Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 6 p.m, at The Joaquin City Hall located at 124 N. Preston Street, Joaquin, Texas, and Facebook live at https://www.facebook.com/CityofJoaquin.

9. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take possible action on approving J.V.F.D. to use funds from Public Safety to purchase land.

10. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take action regarding a resolution to apply for grant funding under the 2023-2024 TxCDBG-CD grant program offered through the Texas Department of Agriculture.

12. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take action on approving a revised contract with MHS Planning & Design, LIC for the planning and designing of the Boat Ramp for a fee not to exceed $217,000.00. 

13. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider adoption of the Shelby County FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Plan. The approved plan makes us eligible to apply for current and future mitigation grants.

14. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take possible action on 2023-2024 TML Health Insurance Renewal for employees.

15. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take possible action on Utility rates and fees.

16. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take possible action on awards.

17. Discuss and take action: Discuss and take possible action on repairs at the sewer plant.

18. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time.

19. Adjourn.

The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
